Dr. Eric R. Pearson grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa and has been an Iowan most of his life. After graduating from Fort Dodge Senior High, he attended Iowa Central Community College; graduating with an A/A Degree. Dr. Pearson completed his college work at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Pearson continued his studies at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he received special recognition awards from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Iowa Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also achieved membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society, and was awarded the Mosby award for the outstanding dental student, the most outstanding senior dental student in Prosthodontics.
Dr. Pearson went into a General Practice Internship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He then went on to complete his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training at the Gundersen Clinic Lutheran Hospital in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. He joined Dr. Terry Hopper in 1993 at his Fort Ddoge practice.
Currently, Dr. Pearson has offices in Fort Dodge and Algona. He has staff privileges at Trinity Regional Medical Center. He has served as Chief of Surgery as well as Secretary of the Medical Staff. He has served as President of the Iowa Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
To remain current with changing surgical techniques in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Pearson regularly attends surgical seminars, workshops, and conferences.
Dr. Pearson is active in the community, serving on many boards. He is a past member of the Fort Dodge Country Club Board, the YMCA Board and the FCS Board. He is an active member of First United Methodist Church and is the high school youth leader.
He is active with his family's activities. His family includes wife Lynette, daughter Jaime, and son Colin. Dr. Pearson enjoys golf, racquetball, hunting, snow skiing and supporting Fort Dodge and the surrounding communities.
